Creating a Shipment

Step-by-step guide to creating and confirming a shipment

Part 1

Setting Addresses

Set Your "From" Address

On the Ship Page, select your origin address from the Starting Address dropdown to choose from your Address Book, or click Custom Address to enter a new one.

Your contact information will populate below the selected address.

Set Your "To" Address

Select the destination from the To Address dropdown, or click Custom Address to enter a new recipient.

Use the Address Search field to quickly find saved addresses by typing the name or company.

Edit or Swap Addresses

Click Edit next to any address to update details. The Edit Address dialogue lets you modify the address and contact information.

Use the Swap button to quickly exchange the From and To addresses.

You can also save new addresses to your Company or User address book for future use.

Part 2

Package Details

Select Package Type

Choose your package type from the dropdown. Options include:

For Customer Packaging, you can select predefined dimensions from the Choose Dimensions dropdown, or enter length, width, and height manually.

Create Predefined Dimensions

Click the Create Predefined Dimensions button to save commonly used package sizes. These will appear in your dimensions dropdown for quick selection on future shipments.

You can also manage your custom dimensions from Settings > Dimensions tab.

Set Quantity and Weight

Enter the package Quantity and Weight in the respective fields.

To ship multiple different packages, click Add Package Group to add additional package groups. Each group is labeled alphabetically (A, B, C, etc.).

Part 3

Add-On Options

Add Insurance

Click the Add-On dropdown and select Insurance. Enter the insured value for each package.

Add Dry Ice

Select Dry Ice from the Add-On dropdown and enter the dry ice weight. Toggle the Medical Use switch if applicable.

Add References

Select Reference from the Add-On dropdown to add tracking references to your label. You can enter a Primary and Secondary reference for each package group.

If you have custom reference presets, they will auto-populate as you type. You can also type a one-time reference directly.

Signature Requirement

Select Signature from the Add-On dropdown and choose the appropriate signature type from the options.

Cash on Delivery (C.O.D.)

Click Edit General Add-Ons and toggle the C.O.D. switch. Enter the amount due and optionally enable Secure Payment.

Third-Party Billing

Toggle the Third-Party Billing switch at the bottom of Package Details. Enter the third-party name, account number, and select the carrier.

Part 4

Getting Rates

Get and Compare Rates

Click Get Rates to view available shipping services with discounted pricing. The system highlights the Fastest and Best Priced options.

Scroll through the rate carousel to view additional carrier services. Click on any rate to see a detailed breakdown showing your discounted savings.

View Package Rate Details

Click View Package Details to see a per-package rate breakdown in a floating window.

Part 5

Email Notifications

Configure Notifications

Toggle Activate Email Notifications to enable carrier email updates for the receiver, sender, or a custom email address.

Select notification types from the dropdown for each recipient. Click Save to confirm your settings.

You can modify notifications before finalizing by clicking Edit Notifications.

Part 6

Confirming & Printing

Select Label Type

Choose your label format from the Choose Label Type dropdown:

Email Labels (Optional)

Toggle Send by Email to automatically email the label as a PDF to the sender's email address. Hover over the info icon to verify the recipient email.

Schedule Pickup (Optional)

Toggle This Shipment Requires Pickup to schedule a carrier pickup. After confirming the label, you'll be prompted to enter the pickup date and time.

Confirm and Print

Click Confirm and Print to generate your shipping label. The label will open as a PDF in a new browser tab.

Note: First-time users may need to allow pop-up permissions in their browser to view the generated label.

After printing, you can click Go to History to view your shipment or New Shipment to create another.
